Steeped in history this
Elizabethan Manor Hall is a delight. It is a somewhat exclusive venue as it
is closed to the public. We have arranged a weekend chill out and camp over
in the grounds of the house immediately to the right of the above photograph.
You will even have the chance of a guided tour of the Hall. The photo shows
the drive approaching from the South. You can find out more information about
the history of Barlborough Hall by clicking on the following links ( use the

Cromwell had troops garrisoned at Barlborough Hall during the English Civil
War. At the entrance gates of the school is the oldest building in Barlborough,
now a farm, it was built by De Rodes prior to the Hall construction being
undertaken. During restoration Cavalier clothing buckles and boots were found,
it must have been hair raising being so close to Cromwell's troops!
